Fur Remodeling - Fur Remodeling Cost

All fur lovers have an old and used coat in their closet that they no longer use because it is out of fashion. Elpidio Loffredo has decided to remodel a fur by creating innovative and trendy models, while maintaining a very low fur remodeling cost. Fur remodeling consists of modifying an old fur with small adjustments, or completely distorting and changing the model. Often a remodeled fur is also lighter and has a shinier hair, thanks to new processing techniques. Thanks to the professionalism of our craftsmen, we always easily find the best solution to satisfy all the needs of our customers. Restyling a used fur is not an easy thing, as working with an old hide requires a lot of experience and above all delicacy in the workmanship. Even choosing what to create is not always an easy thing, as a mink fur remodeling is different from a fox fur remodeling. Remodeling a fur coat is definitely a good choice when the item is old and no longer used. By continuing to read you will discover:

Remodeling a fur coat, when is it worthwhile?

Remodeling a fur coat must be done according to different criteria such as:
  • Quality of the fur worked
  • Quantity of usable leather
  • What we want to achieve

Customers often think that it is possible to obtain a jacket or coat from a completely worn fur coat, but unfortunately when remodeling is done all the worn parts must be eliminated and therefore a lot of material is often lost to work with. Remodeled mink fur, for example, will almost certainly have a smaller "waste" part, as fox fur often has very weak leather on the bellies and therefore must be eliminated. Remodeled mink fur is the most requested. It is very important to understand what we can make from used fur, and above all to create something usable and fashionable. The amount of usable leather is essential for the creation of a remodeled jacket or coat, without having high costs. Often when the material is not enough Elpidio Loffredo suggests adding Cashmere or other leather, but this increases the remodeling price. In the creation of fur remodeling Elpidio Loffredo always suggests which model should be created.

Which model can I get?

Elpidio Loffredo specifically studies the models to satisfy the requests of any customer. Not all models adapt to customers, obviously for subjective factors. But as for the new collection, also for the fur remodeling Elpidio Loffredo offers maximum assistance with the creation of custom furs. By analyzing the used fur to be worked, Elpidio Loffredo shows its customers the type of fur jacket or fur coat that can be made. Afterwards, we proceed with the various tests of the furs, in order to understand which model can adapt better and above all if there is a need for some modification or the addition of some accessories. Often when the material is little, Elpidio Loffredo suggests the creation of short jackets or capes, with the addition of patches made of fur in such a way as to have a trendy and fashionable fur, despite the material being very little.

Leftovers of my fur

The leftovers of the processed fur usually consist of processing scraps or worn and unusable leather. The leftovers are always delivered upon request of the customers, as they are often leftovers that need anti-moth treatments or are practically unusable at all. When the leftovers can be used for some creation, our Staff informs the customers of the possible creation of another garment such as a cape, or the creation of edges for the hand-made wool jacket or for the cashmere capes. Often these edges are dyed to be used as edges or to create pom poms for the cashmere hats, or simple key rings. The leftovers can also be used to create patches that can be applied on the fur or on some outerwear of your choice. The leftovers must be requested at least 7 days before delivery, as they remain in the laboratory. Many customers use the leftovers of another item to create patches on another remodeled fur, in order to have a fashionable item, or if there is a lot of leftovers they prefer to mix the types of leather to have a longer and more imaginative fur.

Fur remodeling cost

The cost of remodeling fur varies from fur to fur and above all the cost of remodeling also varies from furrier to furrier. We often find truly ridiculous fur remodeling prices, as a normal laboratory could never work with those prices, and this should already make us doubt the type of workmanship, labor and quality of the materials used. The cost of remodeling mink fur is usually €800. The price does not include dyeing or the addition of material such as cashmere or mink fur. As for the cost of remodeling fox fur, it is always €800 excluding dyeing of the used fur. Instead, the cost of remodeling sable fur starts from €1500, this obviously depends on the addition of skins to be made. As for the remodeling of chinchilla fur, there is a fairly broad discussion regarding the quality of the worked skin and especially the state of the skins that often cannot be worked. Another particular skin is lynx fur, as a remake means eliminating the beige part and leaving only the belly, that is, the white part of the fur and perhaps embellishing it with the addition of skins.
